Safeguarding Statement
Apex Healthcare Services is committed to protecting adults at risk of abuse or neglect. This statement sets out our safeguarding procedures, who we report to and how to raise a concern.

Our commitment
Everyone has the right to live free from abuse and neglect. We take a zero tolerance approach to abuse and work to keep the people we care for safe. All our staff receive safeguarding training as part of their induction and refresh it every year.
Recognising abuse
Abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, sexual, financial, neglect, discriminatory and organisational abuse. Staff are trained to recognise the signs and to act on them.
If someone is in immediate danger
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Do not wait to tell us first.
How to report a concern
If you suspect abuse but the person is not in immediate danger, you can report it in any of these ways:
- Tell a member of our team or a manager.
- Call us on 0118 391 3542.

- Call the police on 999 if the situation becomes an emergency.
What we do when a concern is raised
We take every report seriously. We follow the safeguarding procedures set out by the local authority and the Care Act 2014. We record the concern, investigate it and refer it to the local authority safeguarding team where required. We report concerns to the local authority safeguarding team for the area where the person lives.
