    The people behind the care

    Meet the Apex team

Care is about people. Here are the people who make Apex what it is, our leadership, our office team and the rest of the team, shown openly so you know who might be coming to the door.

    Our team

    Meet Our Dedicated Leadership Team

Our leadership and office team is shown here with their roles and backgrounds. We believe in being human, open and approachable, these are the people you will speak to when you call.

Jennifer, Registered Manager at Apex Healthcare Services

    Jennifer

    Registered Manager

    Joined 2018

Jennifer is our Registered Manager and your champion and advocate. She gets to the heart of what each person needs and builds care plans around them, not around a template. She believes care should feel like family, and she would not have it any other way.

As Registered Manager, Jennifer is the person the Care Quality Commission holds us to account through, and she would not have it any other way. She leads on every care plan, personally visits new families, and is the voice on the end of the phone when something matters. Before Apex she worked in residential and domiciliary care across Berkshire, and she brings a calm, no nonsense approach that families trust from the first conversation. Her door is genuinely open, and she would rather hear a concern early than find out about it late.

Ioana, Operations Manager at Apex Healthcare Services

    Ioana

    Operations Manager

    Joined 2018

Ioana runs our day to day operations, oversees staff and makes sure we only commit to care we can deliver properly. She brings endless energy to everything she does, and when she is not at work you will find her in her garden or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen.

Ioana is the reason a rota holds together when half the team has a winter cold. She oversees scheduling, carer cover and the daily running of every visit, and she is the one who will tell a family plainly if a time slot cannot be covered properly rather than over promise and let them down. She came into care from a hospitality background and brings the same instinct for looking after people. Families often speak to her when they want to change a visit time or add something in, and she treats every request as if it were for her own family.

Seron, Care Quality Lead at Apex Healthcare Services

    Seron

    Care Quality Lead

    Joined 2023

Seron brings energy, warmth and charisma to everything she does. She champions high standards and compassionate practice, understanding people as individuals rather than tasks. She loves dancing, badminton and netball.

Seron leads on quality and compliance, which means she is the person making sure what we say on paper is what actually happens at the door. She carries out spot checks in the home, with the carer told beforehand, reviews care plans, and sits down with carers to coach them rather than catch them out. She came to us as a senior carer and worked her way up, so she knows exactly what a good visit looks like from the inside. Families meet her when a care plan needs a proper review, and she has a gift for putting people at ease while asking the right questions.

Courtney, Care Lead at Apex Healthcare Services

    Courtney

    Care Lead

    Joined 2022

Courtney creates bespoke care plans and addresses family concerns with empathy and attention to detail. She is a mum and has a dog, and she can often be found exploring the great outdoors.

Courtney is often the first face a new family meets after the initial meeting. She writes the care plan with the family and the person receiving care, walks the carers through it, and checks in during the first few weeks to make sure it is working in practice rather than only on paper. She has a gift for listening to the small things families mention in passing and folding them into the plan. She came into care because she wanted work that meant something at the end of the day, and it shows in how she handles the difficult conversations families sometimes need to have.

Ayodeji (Ayo), Care Coordinator at Apex Healthcare Services

    Ayodeji (Ayo)

    Care Coordinator

    Joined 2022

Ayo coordinates our rotas and schedules with exceptional communication, matching carer skills and client preferences seamlessly. He plays seven musical instruments and brings the same rhythm and harmony to his work as he does to his music.

Ayo is the person who makes sure the right carer turns up at the right door at the right time, week in and week out. He matches carers to families on personality and skills as well as geography, which is harder than it sounds and matters more than people realise. When a carer is off sick, he is the one reworking the day so a familiar face still arrives rather than a stranger. He came to care from a background in administration and logistics, and he treats a rota the way a conductor treats an orchestra, every part matters and the whole has to hold together.

Jumana (Joy), Senior Care/Training Lead at Apex Healthcare Services

    Jumana (Joy)

    Senior Care/Training Lead

    Joined 2024

Joy spent over 15 years in business administration and studied Law with Business before finding her calling in care. She now trains our carers, bringing the heart of a carer into every session. Her goal is simple: equip carers with practical knowledge rooted in safety, dignity and empathy.

Joy runs our training academy and looks after the development of every carer we employ. She designs the moving and handling, medication, safeguarding and first aid sessions, and she delivers them herself so the standard is hers to keep. She came into care from a business and law background, and she brings that precision to training without ever losing the human side. She also mentors new carers through their first weeks, because she believes a certificate is the start of a carer, not the finish. Families benefit from her work without ever meeting her, which is rather the point.

Adilla, Senior Carer/Recruitment at Apex Healthcare Services

    Adilla

    Senior Carer/Recruitment

    Joined 2023

Adilla brings warmth and energy to every visit, dedicated to comfort, happiness and support for the people she cares for. She loves swimming, long walks and a good board game, and she has been cooking since she was nine.

Adilla splits her time between caring and helping us find the right new carers. She knows exactly what the job takes because she does it, so when she interviews a candidate she is listening for the things you cannot teach. As a senior carer she supports newer team members on their first visits, making sure standards hold from day one. Families who meet her tend to ask for her back, which is the highest compliment a carer can be paid. She has a natural gift for putting nervous people at ease, whether that is a new carer or a new client.

Jamaica, Senior Carer at Apex Healthcare Services

    Jamaica

    Senior Carer

    Joined 2022

Jamaica brings joy and love to everything she does, inspired by her mum. She sees every person as a unique storybook and adds sparkle to every visit.

Jamaica is a senior carer who supports newer team members and helps hold the standard on visits. She came into care because of her mum, and she carries that into every home she walks into. She has a gift for reading a room and knowing whether someone wants a chat or a quiet hour, and families tell us she leaves the house feeling lighter than when she arrived. As a senior carer she is also a point of contact for the team on the road, the person a newer carer rings when they are not sure about something.

Odette, Accounts Payable at Apex Healthcare Services

    Odette

    Accounts Payable

    Joined 2017

Odette keeps the ship steady, guiding the team and handling invoices with precision and care. She loves brisk walks and swimming, and she is devoted to her Border Collie, Kiwi.

Odette looks after the office, the invoices and a good deal of the quiet work that keeps everything else running. She has been with Apex since the early days, and she is often the friendly voice families speak to first when they ring. She handles invoicing with the same care she would want for her own family, and she is never too busy to explain a line on a bill or sort out a query. She is the kind of person who remembers a family from a single phone call six months earlier, which tells you a good deal about how the office is run.

Natasha, Payroll Specialist at Apex Healthcare Services

    Natasha

    Payroll Specialist

    Joined 2018

Natasha keeps our payroll running like clockwork and is always ready to lend a hand to her colleagues. She is a proud mum to two girls, loves music, and leads a community learning disability group in her spare time.

Natasha looks after payroll, which means she is the reason our carers are paid correctly and on time, every time. That matters more than it sounds, because carers who are looked after stay, and carers who stay are the ones families come to know and trust. She came to Apex from a finance background and brings a quiet precision to the role. Outside of work she leads a community learning disability group, which tells you something about where her heart sits when the laptop closes.

Robert, Co-Founder & Co-Director at Apex Healthcare Services

    Robert

    Co-Founder & Co-Director

    Joined 2017

Robert supports operations, finance and compliance to ensure safe and compassionate care for every family. He has over ten years in care and is a passionate acoustic guitar enthusiast working on his jazz skills.

Robert co founded Apex with Keith in 2017 and looks after the operations, finance and compliance side of the business. He has spent over a decade in care, and he is the person who makes sure the back office is as well run as the front line. He is hands on rather than behind a desk, and he still knows the families and the carers by name. He is a passionate acoustic guitar player working on his jazz chops, and he brings the same patience to a difficult chord progression as he does to a difficult problem at work.

    Joined 2017

Keith co founded Apex with Robert in 2017 after more than a decade in care and an MSc in Assistive Technology. He is the person who set the standard the rest of the team works to, and his guiding principle is simple and unchanged: treat every person we support as if they were our own mum or dad. He calls it the Mum Test, and it runs through everything from how a care plan is written to how a complaint is handled. He is a hands on director who still visits families and knows the team, and he is a fun loving dad who enjoys his kids toys as much as they do.

She has a calm, unhurried way about her that puts nervous families at ease, and she is the carer we send when someone needs a familiar, settled presence. She finds her balance in her garden, and she brings that same patience to a visit, never rushing, always present.

Dean came into care because he wanted work that left him feeling he had done something that mattered by the end of the day. He is quietly reliable, the sort of carer families stop noticing because he simply turns up and does a good job every time. He takes particular pride in helping people keep their independence rather than doing things for them that they can still do themselves. He unwinds with snooker and music, and he brings that same steady focus to his visits.

She finds deep satisfaction in knowing that an hour of her time can change the shape of someone's day, and she has a way of making the people she supports feel seen rather than looked after.

Faiqa is our ray of sunshine, and that is not a phrase we use lightly. She has a laugh that brightens a room and a heart full of compassion for the people she supports. She is devoted to older people and treasures every story they share, which means she is often the carer who comes back knowing more about a family's history than the family remembers telling her. She takes pride in the thoughtful gestures, the cup of tea made the way someone likes it, the blanket folded back just so, the question about a grandchild asked at the right moment.
